I'm going on a consulting adventure!

Its a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road and if you don’t keep your feet there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.

After four years of working at thoughtbot (and several others with product companies before), I’ve decided to go on a solo consulting adventure.

Though I’m leaving thoughtbot, I still want to help people build great software. And I’m not just talking about helping by writing code.

Building great software has many components. We have to talk to clients and learn to ask the right questions. We have to manage a project, prioritize work, and work iteratively. Along the way, we have to make trade-offs, we have to simplify, and we have to clarify so that, in the end, we build something that our customers will love.

For the past four years, I have loved being a part of that whole process. And that’s what I want to continue doing — helping people build great software.

So if you’re starting a new company, building a project in your existing company, or you’re looking to boost your Elixir or Ruby team, let’s chat. I want to be a partner in your next adventure.
