What’s it like to work with German?
As a person, developer, and product strategist German is exceptional. Particularly in setting a codebase, culture, or large piece of functionality, German’s skills (and the combination thereof) shine. He’s the developer to set your codebase, culture, and company mission up for success.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with German on a recent project, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Despite coming in as a contractor, German showed up with a deep sense of ownership—in the best sense of the word. He cared about the users, the product, the speed of delivery, and the long-term health of the system. From day one, he felt like a core member of the team, and that feeling never faded. I’ll genuinely miss working with him.
German brings a wealth of Elixir expertise, but he carries it with humility and generosity. He introduced core abstractions to our codebase that the team still relies on today. Yet he never acted as a “gatekeeper”—his contributions were always enabling, never intimidating. That kind of leadership does wonders for team morale.
Speaking of morale: German’s meetings were the most fun we had—while still being effective and focused. He strikes a rare and delightful balance between humor and getting things done, and it makes everything around him better.
And on a more insider note for those with a consulting background: when you’ve been in the field, you know there’s a difference between folks who show up to do the work and those who are in it with you—navigating complexity, lifting the team, reading the room, and playing the long game with clients. German is absolutely the latter. He gets it. He makes the work better and more fun.
I would work with German again in a heartbeat, and I’d recommend him for any team, any engagement, anywhere. He’s the real deal.

I truly appreciated the disciplined approach taken throughout the duration of the project to ship very high quality + well tested code. Many other consultants would be more focused on just shipping than building an incredibly strong foundation + abstractions for future developers.
I also appreciate the careful approach to problem solving and asking great questions to flesh out requirements. German took the time to dig deep with me.
